The Public Works Department
provides essential infrastructure
maintenance and services to the City of Cherryvale. The
department is responsible for maintenance of public streets
and alleys, the water distribution system, sanitary sewer
systems, storm water drainage, city parks, city cemetery,
former smelter site property, and most city buildings. The
department also performs animal control duties, brush and leaf
clean up, and snow removal during the winter. |

2011 "Most Improved
Public Works" in Kansas |

The City of Cherryvale
Public Works Department has won the 2011 "Most Improved
Public Works" Award in the State of Kansas from the Kansas
Rural Water Association. The department was applauded for
its efforts to improve the city's infrastructure and quality
of life over the past ten years.
