Tyro- District 11 State Representative Virgil Peck, Jr., R-Tyro, will be hosting a town hall meeting in Cherryvale on Saturday morning, April 24th. Peck will be in the Commission Room of the Cherryvale City Hall building at 123 W. Main from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. The entrance is on the west side of the building on Neosho Street.
During the meeting Peck will review recently passed legislation and discuss legislation still being worked on, including the state budget. He will then ask for input and questions from those in attendance. Peck says, “The Kansas Legislature has 15 legislative days remaining and there are several important pieces of legislation that still need to be passed, including a reasonable state budget. It is important, now more than ever, that I hear from Montgomery County residents with their ideas and suggestions.”
Peck and his colleagues in the Legislature will be back in the State Capitol on April 28th, where they will reconvene for their annual wrap-up session.
